PCDA was formed in the year 1973 by the active involvement of Late Shri Nath Seth Shingre.  He was the Founder President. It was his idea and hard work, at the initial stages, for forming such a vibrant association.  In fact, we are lucky to reap the fruits of the seed sown by him.  Initially, it was started at Sadashiv Peth.  It was this time when cement was also under the control of Government.  It was known as Levy Cement.  One had to take the Permit for selling the same.  It was decided to pay to the PCDA 25 paise per bag for every bag of levy cement sold.  With these funds collected by the Association, a shop of 150 sq.ft was purchased for PCDA’s office at Sadashiv Peth.  On 31^st March, 1993, the present office at Kalpatru Plaza was purchased from the funds recovered by selling the Sadashiv Peth office premises.
